About The Interrogator

Every token has a story. I make it talk. The Interrogator is Dark General's free scam checker for crypto. Paste a token contract, a wallet address, a website or an @X handle, and it opens a case file: it pulls public data from several sources, questions it in rounds, and hands you a plain-English risk assessment with receipts.

Why it exists

Most people who get rugged never stood a chance. The warning signs were there, but they were buried in block explorers, holder tables and contract settings nobody explains. Pro traders check those things in seconds. Normal people don't know where to look. The Interrogator does the looking for you and tells you what it means, without the jargon.

How it works

For a token, the case runs in up to five rounds. The Wallets: who holds the supply, and whether a few wallets or a linked insider group control it. The Developer: whether someone can still print new tokens, freeze your coins, change the token's details, or (on EVM chains) block selling, change taxes or upgrade the contract. The Trading: liquidity, volume, buy and sell pressure, pair age and price crashes. The Alibi: whether the project lists a website and socials. The Track Record: an old token with deep liquidity gets a little credit for surviving.

Wallets get a report card instead: what they hold, how many tokens are dead or tiny, how many trip the quick checks, how old the wallet is, and a rank from Recruit to Five-Star Survivor. Websites get checked for domain age, HTTPS, redirects, seed-phrase bait and impostor token links.

The risk rating scale

Every flag adds points, each round can add at most five, and the total picks the stamp: CLEARED (0-2), PERSON OF INTEREST (3-4), UNDER SUSPICION (5-7) or RED-HANDED (8+). CLEARED doesn't mean safe. It means nothing in these checks stood out.

Receipts and case files

Every flag comes with proof: a link to the explorer, RugCheck, GoPlus, honeypot.is, DexScreener or the domain record it came from, so you can check it yourself. Each case gets a shareable link with the time it was run, a written report you can copy or save as an image, and a badge projects can embed. The report is written by a program from the numbers the case found, so it never makes figures up.

Sources used today: public Solana and EVM RPC nodes, RugCheck, DexScreener, GoPlus Security, honeypot.is, Blockscout, mempool.space and RDAP domain records, with Jupiter and CoinGecko as backups for token data and prices. All free and keyless. If a source doesn't answer, the case says "No evidence found / source unavailable" and that check adds zero points.

What it doesn't do

It never connects to your wallet, never asks for a private key or seed phrase, holds no funds, and makes no buy or sell calls. It reads public data. That's all.

Honest limits

Data is a snapshot and can be minutes old. Free sources go down. A brand-new token may not be indexed yet. A team with clean settings can still abandon a project, and a scary-looking holder list can have an innocent explanation. Wallet token lists on EVM cover Ethereum mainnet only for now.

What's next

Plans, not promises: deeper X account background checks, more chains and alerts when a case you shared changes.

// what i check

What the Interrogator checks

Free token scanner, wallet checker and website checker in one box. Multi-chain, keyless, read-only.

๐Ÿช™ Token contracts

Holder concentration, insider networks, mint and freeze authority, mutable metadata, creator holdings, LP lock or burn, honeypot and sell tax, owner powers, proxy contracts, liquidity, volume, buy/sell pressure, pair age and price crashes.

๐Ÿ‘› Wallets

A read-only Solana, EVM or Bitcoin wallet checker: holdings, token count, % dead or tiny, flagged tokens, wallet age and a rank with a roast.

๐ŸŒ Websites

A crypto scam website checker: domain age from RDAP, HTTPS, redirects, seed-phrase bait, "claim your airdrop" wording, and whether the token it shows links back to it.

๐• Handles

Which tokens on DexScreener list that @handle as their X account. Full X background checks are coming soon.

// the risk rating

How the risk rating works

Deterministic rules, same input, same answer. No AI guessing in the score.

CLEARED ยท 0-2

Nothing in these checks stood out. Not the same as safe.

PERSON OF INTEREST ยท 3-4

A couple of things worth a second look before you buy.

UNDER SUSPICION ยท 5-7

Several warning signs from more than one angle.

RED-HANDED ยท 8+

Strong evidence from multiple rounds, like a honeypot plus concentrated supply.

  1. Each finding adds points and shows its proof link. Good signs add zero.
  2. Each round adds at most 5 points, so one bad round can't convict on its own.
  3. A token trading 180+ days with $250K+ liquidity gets 2 points off for its track record.
  4. A source that fails adds 0 and is marked "source unavailable", never guessed.

Interrogator FAQ

Is The Interrogator a rug pull checker?

Yes. Paste a token's contract address and it checks the things that usually go wrong in a rug pull: who holds the supply, whether the creator can still print or freeze tokens, whether the liquidity is locked, whether you can actually sell, and how the trading looks. You get a risk rating from CLEARED to RED-HANDED with a proof link on every flag.

Which chains does it support?

Tokens on Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism and Avalanche. Wallets on Solana, those EVM chains and Bitcoin. It also checks websites and @X handles. Tron is not supported yet.

Does CLEARED mean a token is safe?

No. CLEARED only means nothing in these checks stood out at the time of the case. A clean contract can still go to zero, and a team can still walk away. Treat it as a starting point, not a green light.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

Never. The Interrogator only reads public blockchain data. It never asks for a wallet connection, a private key or a seed phrase, and it can't move funds. Anyone asking you for a seed phrase is trying to rob you.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It's free, with no signup and no account. It uses free public data sources, so a source can sometimes be slow or down. When that happens the case says so and that check adds zero points.

Is this a smart contract audit or financial advice?

Neither. It's an automated set of checks with a written report generated by a program from the data it found. It doesn't read or audit code line by line, and it never tells you to buy or sell. These are findings, not accusations. Not financial advice. Do your own homework.
